Samsul was born in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. He finished his junior and high school education in Dhaka and went on to complete his undergraduate studies at the University of Dhaka, majoring in Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. Growing up in a country known for Cricket, it quickly became his favorite sport. He has a passion for cooking whenever he finds the time. Currently, he is deeply involved with chemistry, alike the art of cooking, and crafting a flavorful dish (product).

Mina is from Syangja district in western part of Nepal. She has received B.S in chemistry from Tri-Chandra college, Kathmandu, Nepal. She joined Dr. Kyle Plunkett’s research group in chemistry and biochemistry department in Fall 2022. Her research interest focuses on organic synthesis for material science applications. She loves to sing, dance, and cook food in free time.

Tahir was born in Narowal, Pakistan. He received a B.Sc. degree in chemistry from the Government College University (GCU) Lahore and a M.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Management and Technology (UMT) Lahore. He enjoys playing badminton in his free time.

Max grew up in the small town of Mattoon Illinois, and was homeschooled his entire life. He then moved on to attend Lake Land College where he earned his associates in chemistry before transferring to SIU Carbondale. In his free time he enjoys woodworking, and also loves outdoor activities such as camping and hiking.
